Join Bluebird Program of Minnesota – board president Nancy Engel at the Butterfly Days Festival in Belle Plain, MN on August 22 from 10 – 3 pm. The Monarch Joint Venture – Butterfly Days Festival is a free celebration of butterflies, pollinators, and the conservation efforts working to protect them! There’s something for everyone, especially families, with a llama petting zoo and bounce house for the kids. Enjoy hands-on monarch butterfly and garden themed activities, including monarch tagging and garden rock painting. Be sure to explore the other organizations on-site to discover their work and find ways to get involved. Don’t miss the Monarch Joint Venture store, stocked with monarch gear, books, and more. Nancy will be available to answer all your bluebird questions and more.

Wildbirds Unlimited Woodbury, hosted a fall bluebird presentation on November 1. County Coordinator David Schmidt shaded with the 18 attendees things they should do with their nest boxes to prepare for winter, how to support bluebirds with their fall migration and how to prepare their trails for spring.
Kathy Meinhardt’s July 30th Bluebird presentation at the Masonic Home in Bloomington was a big hit with the 33 residence in attendence.

Pine county coordinator Jean Olsen had a great day at the World Migratory Bird Festival Pine County Celebration. Interacting with 82 enthusiastic bluebirders on May 10, 2025.
